About Manu
Manu is a Mexican artist who lived must of his childhood in Mexico City. At the age of 20 he decided to go explore the world.
After several months of traveling in India he got his first tattoo. He was sure about 2 things, it needed to be special and perfect. After a big search for the right artist he finally found Dean, a South African cool guy which was tattooing at his balcony in front of the beach. It was a very different place and energy to all the tattoo shops he had visited. He immediately felt connection towards it. After 15 hours of tattooing, Manu finally got his first tattoo. He was very excited and happy with the result, the session and the artist (Dean). He had just experienced a great ceremony.
Two days later Manu decided he's going to become a Tattoo Artist as well, started taking courses and studying to become the best.
Eleven years have passed since then. Along the journey he has learned from great teachers such as Oscar Akermo from Bang Bang Studio in New York, Dante Aligeiro from Brazil, Dean Leron from South Africa and many more.
During the past years Manu has been working with big brands like Playboy, InkMx, Maxwell and others. As well as tattooing in places like Ibiza, Berlin, Zurich,New York, Los Angeles, India, Thailand, Bali and more.
Now a days, Manu has settled down and created a beautiful studio surrounded by forest in the outskirts of Mexico City, which is daily visited by birds, squirrels and raccoons.
Up to this moment he has made more than 10,000 tattoos. He works with different tattoo techniques like handmade and machine tattoos according to your design.
Manu has always searched his sessions to be special, to connect with each one of you and build up a friendly and unique session to be remembered all your life.
